The Marston Sunbeam Club was again made to feel very welcome at the Wolverhampton Rugby Club where the annual Rally weekend was held. Running from the Friday through to Sunday there was a full programme of events including A 25 mile run to Bridgenorth on the Saturday and a 50 mile outing on the Sunday. I particularly enjoyed the run-out on Saturday where the ’30 Model 90 performed and sounded just great with the open pipes echoing around the lanes. A swift shandy at the pub-stop half way round was most welcome too.

In the afternoon, Phil Nutt deservedly won the concours competition with his beautifully turned out Model 9. I honestly have no idea how Phil managed to ride his bike the one and half hours from Leicester that morning and yet keep it so pristine for the judging. Top marks!
