  1. Wonderful to come across this bike.As a 12-14 year old I remember this bike well, assuming that it was this machine.It was at this time owned by a Mr John Learmonth of Stenton in East Lothian.John or “Jock” was a keen motorcyclist and also had a Norton.
    I well remember him showing some pals and I all the documention that he had with it,all written by Dodson himself.It was a good sized folder.On the day in question he started the bike (jump started) and rode it round the village.I have in my mind that it had a bronze head?I also remember the heavily ribbed tyres.
    This was 1954-57.In dec57 we moved to live in Edinburgh so I don’t know when it was soldI feel sure it was this bike as it had the tank mounted gear change.
    Great to see this pic as I often wondered what had happened to it.
